HOW THE STOVE WORKS
CONVECTION CURRENTS
Cool air from the room is sucked in via the base of the stove and heated as it passes through channels in the rear of the construction and the stove’s convection zones. It is then heated further by the hot fumes before flowing out into the room. The fan (optional extra) blows the air out through the vents.
PRIMARY COMBUSTION AIR
A control on the side of the stove regulates the inflow of combustion air and, as a result, the intensity of the fire. The combustion air is heated to a very high temperature and then directed to flush clean the inside of the glass. Handöl stoves can also be connected directly to a supply of outside air.
CLEAN BURNING SYSTEM
Closing the air intake activates the stove’s “clean burning system”. This supplies pre-heated combustion air via a system of channels and an air diffuser in the back of the stove. This ensures that the stove is never starved of oxygen, but always burns cleanly, efficiently – and for an extra long period of time.
